at today's game...did a pretty damn good job. His mic kept cutting in an out, but we all got the jist of it. Oh, and I seen STEP walk out of the ****ter.

yeah, i felt so bad for him. they were showing him on the screen at the end to show he was still there singing i guess :D

he sounded great when i could hear him

Thanks, everybody! Sucked that the mic kept cutting out, but he was so thrilled to be singing at the game, he didn't care. :D

He really was very impressive how he carried it on despite tecno difficulties...he sounded great when he was on...

I agree, an Awesome job!!
I hate it that the mic/mics were screwed up AGAIN! I believe there were tech problems at every game this year during the National Anthem.
Note to OU...please fix mic before September 2012 :-|

I so wanted to be there to hear Will sing.

My brother said that he was very impressed that Will's heart was going into it whether the mic was working or not.

If there is any recording on youtube, I would appreciate someone sharing the link.

No, he did not say Sooners. He'd rather not be banned from singing it again. And there isn't a video on youtube yet, but I did film it from the home sideline and I'll upload and post it tomorrow. It probably isn't a great recording--I was freezing and trying really hard not to get blown over by the wind.

I bet it wouldn't take much persuasion to get him back for a repeat performance, since there was a techno-glitch. The AD would probably agree to this fairly easily.

I would sign that "petition".

He's already talked to Dr. Wakefield about it. He's going to audition again next season. I don't think he'll have any trouble :D

I was afraid I missed it as we were really cutting it close to get in before the Game started this time.


Tell him he's as awesome at singing the National Anthem in the Stadium as he is at singing Opera at the Tailgate. :D
