These are just projections but we're getting closer to the actual pairings so here are some of the ones of interest.

No, Boise State is not expected to fall all the way to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The teams CFN thinks will play in that classic matchup are Louisiana Tech and Toledo.

Mountain West No. 2 vs. WAC
Projection: Boise State vs. Nevada

TicketCity Bowl
January 2, 2012 Dallas, TX, 12:00 pm ESPNU
Payout: $2.2 million
Big Ten No. 6 vs. C-USA
Projection: Purdue vs. Iowa State*
*No Conference USA team projected available

AT&T Cotton Bowl
January 6, 2012 Arlington, TX, 8:00 pm FOX
Payout: $7.25 million
Big 12 No. 2 vs. SEC No. 3, 4, or 5 (West)
Projection: Kansas State vs. Auburn

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl
January 2, 2012 Glendale, AZ, 8:30 pm ESPN
Big 12 No. 1 vs. BCS
Projection: Oklahoma State vs. Stanford

Rationale: The Fiesta will get the Oklahoma/Oklahoma State winner, and it'll keep Andrew Luck and Stanford in Pac-12 territory. The future No. 1 draft pick will be an easy sell, and if it's Oklahoma instead of Oklahoma State, it could be a battle of the top two picks in the 2012 NFL Draft - with OU's Landry Jones possibly going No. 2.

BCS Championship
January 9, 2012 New Orleans, LA, 9:00 pm ESPN
BCS No. 1 vs. BCS No. 2
Projection: LSU vs. Alabama

So they project us as the #4 team in the Big XII (or maybe that's just the selection number). If this plays out the way they project, I think we would destroy tOSU. I still think we go to the Fiesta.

I actually wouldn't mind a match up with the SEC. Plus, it looks like the Cotton Bowl isn't going to be played at 5:30 in the morning.

I was looking at the Cotton Bowl website and it said the game was already sold out. Do the schools that end up participating get an allotment of tickets also for their season ticket holders?

I guess it depends on the philosophy of the teams in the draft order. Barkley gets some good reviews, some just ok. Similar to Landry. RG3 is a different story altogether. You have to want a Vick-type QB to want him. Who knows. I don't know much about what NFL teams want.

Landry is a much better pro prospect than RG3. Why is everybody always so down on Landry in these forums. He's played pretty damn well all season and was the reason the Baylor game was even competitive.

I don't know much about what NFL teams want.

Primarily, a great passer. Of all the great running college QB's, I know exactly one who's running ability is a major part of his pro game, and he has a cannon for an arm also (Vick)

Kiper (yeah, yeah) has Landry as the No. 2 QB and either No. 4 or 5 overall.

No way Tulsa should beat us out of the Beef O'Brady Bowl
