He's waiting on the call from Jerry Jones. He'll be Cowboy's head coach by 2013.

Agree... Bob has never fired anyone.

Not sure if Martinez has earned his keep... hard to tell with two corners and a safety covering the "average" teams well. With a good QB and a few WRs, they can catch us out of position easily. It only takes one guy to be out of position with some of these offenses.

We haven't really progressed from the FSU and Mizzou games in shoring up the middle and the deep pass though. Still getting burned time and time again.

Maybe he won't have to IF his assistants move on like they have in the past.

We know he won't..... which is why many of have resigned to accept 11-2 seasons from here on out.

Nobody wants them, now. BV is the embodiment of the Peter Principle: Coaches are promoted so long as they work competently. Eventually they are promoted to a position at which they are no longer competent, and there they remain, being unable to earn further promotions. (Thanks, Wikipedia)

This is a great thread. We did learn last night that barring a magical season the best we can hope for from here on out is 11-2. Which is very good. Imagine in the 90's how we would have loved that kind of consistency.

I know Bob isn't firing anyone but in reality heads should roll. Starting at the top with the DC.

Bob firing someone would be admitting he was wrong in hiring him. Bob won't do that.

There is a reason why, that after all these years Venebles still doesn't have a head coaching job.

According to the Kool Aid drinkers it's only because he doesn't want one.
