In December.

Talk about a bucket list item.

That'd be like seeing Woody Guthrie perform in Okemah.

I'm assuming Canterbury Cathedral in England, right?

Dude, if I had $3000 right now...

Thomas Becket was murdered in the Cathedral in 1170.

The Archbishop of Canterbury administers the Anglican Church for his Queen from there.

Can you imagine Minstrel in the Gallery played in this amazing building?

I share your sentiment about the $3000.00. I also wish I knew about this back a few months, I'd be there.

I would rather just see the Cathedral....

I have no reason to argue with that point.

I have been fortunate to visit York Minster, Lincoln Minster and Westminster Cathedral. Rather humbling.

Well perhaps there will be a blu-ray of it made.

Isn't that the cathedral in the The King's Speech movie?

I'm not going to say no, but the King of England (and Queen) is crowned at Westminster Abbey by the Archbishop of Canterbury (the fella in the flick that gave the tutor ****).

They may have done the actual filming in Canterbury, as most of the English Cathedrals/Minsters look very similar, by Anglican design.

First time I saw Tull they had an opening act that was releasing their first album in conjunction with that tour. Little band called Yes.

Second time they had an opening act releasing their first album yada yada - Steely Dan

Third time an opening act releasing blah blah - The Eagles

I think the most expensive ticket of the three was $5.50

OK, that's impressive.

I've still got my $5.50 Stones stub. Stevie Wonder was the b/u.

That's looks like a great place to see Tull. They've toned it down quite a bit since Ian's throat problem, but the quality of their musicianship is as good as evah.

So is it better than seeing/hearing JT at Lloyd Noble?

I was at that show in 82 or so. Hard to remember what year. Opening act was White Snake before Steve Vai was with the band.

I wonder if Ian needs a cane to do the one-footed flute dealio these days.

I saw Tull at The Myriad in 1979.
