Who would you like to see up matched up with in a bowl?

For sake of argument, lets say we beat the Pokes and still get left out, who would you like to see us play?

I'd like to see us play Bama. It would be interesting to see how our offense matches up with their defense, and see if we could stop Richardson.

Arkansas would be a good, tough match up, as well.

Stanford would be fun again. Or any SEC team.

I'd like to see any good SEC really, just to see how we really match-up.

Stanford was a bit to stuffy for me plus their band was just a bit wierd. That guy playing the kitchen sink was a bit far out there.

We are all thinking alike so far, I'd most like to see the Sooners vs 'Bama

or Arkansas ....

or maybe even Boise St....

I mean....if we can't play for a MNC...it really doesn't matter as long as it's maybe someone we've never played or someone we owe an *** whooping to.

Someone with an over rated pass defense.

Stanford? Boise? To some extent...LSU?

If we get left out of thw Natl Championship, we won't play anyone from the SEC. BCS only takes two from a Conf. It could be LSU/Ala rematch or LSU/Ore rematch. Ala will play in the Sugar Bowl I'm sure.....will have to wait till tomorrow night to see how things shake out.

Yeah I was to damn tired to run down all that pre-concieved BS the Conferences do with the BCS. I mostly just tossed out Teams I'd like to play for whatever sick twisted reason of my own.

There is still Arkie, but I don't know what the Fiesta tie-ins are outside the big12. The horns got to play tOSU when we went to the title game in '08. How about Wisconsin?

I'm with the others. I just want to get as easy of a win as possible, so I guess anyone but an SEC team would fit that bill. Clemson or another Big East team would be an especially dream matchup for those purposes. We might not get much national coverage, but it is still technically a BCS win.

They won't match us with Arky due to limited TV audience nationwide. Too close geographically.

I'd like to see 'em play the Hogs. Good regional matchup with two explosive offensive teams and some interesting bowl history between the two teams.

That is the understatement of the year -- if we never play Stanford again with the annoying band and tree, it is too soon for me. The Sun Bowl did me in -- their band was rude and played through the awards ceremony and also had one of the dumbest halftime shows I have ever seen. No to Stanford! The drum major was dressed up like a skunk on top of that. No class at all. I can say that as we stayed in the same hotel as the band and a lot of Stanford snobs.

We match up well with anyone. We just don't win all of them.

People still think Boise gets in to a BCS?

Possible, but highly unlikely. It would take a bunch of crazy losses including Houston. The BCS bowls are only required to take 1 non-AQ team and it would be the highest rated. They are done.

That team also has to be in the top 12 in final BCS pole.

Fiesta supposedly has first pick and will choose a good opponent but not likely a non-AQ.

agreed, as it would mean a BCS game.:friendly_wink:

I think it would be dependent on what happens.

If we beat OSU and are left out. I would like to see us play Bama or some other team that is not from a Mid Major or Big East.

If we lose to OSU and they make the BCS Title game, I would like to see us play the second place team from the SEC West...either Bama or Arkansas.

But like I said, it would be dependent on what happens.

If we are not in a BCS Bowl game, then I would like to see us in the Cotton Bowl. If we are Big 12 runner ups, I hope to God that the Fiesta does not pick us up anyway!

It can't be the Hogs, unless everyone thinks they are going to beat LSU. If they beat LSU, then that opens a whole nother issue. BCS rankings will determine who will play for the SEC championship. At this rate, it would probably be Alabama. Based on the SEC tiebreaker...

It could be Houston !!! :)
