It's amazing how things could go down. We lose to absolutely the worst team of all the competing one loss teams (other than Bama), and yet, we may work our way back into it. TCU and Oregon are way better than Tech. Beating the Pokes might do it if Stanford drops.
I don't see Bama losing tonight, but not playing well would help us.

I'm not sure I agree that we only need Stanford to lose (and us to win out) for OU to be in. Maybe it's that simple, but I still think we need LSU and/or Bama to drop one over the next few weeks.

Could be, but I see it being a little harder than that. While I think we'll move past Oregon (assuming they beat Stanford) if we beat the Pokes, you can't overlook Arkansas, especially if they were to beat LSU. I still think there is a lot we need to go our way besides Stanford losing.

If it comes down to one-loss teams, we will probably have the worst loss of all. I still have faith though.

They'd have to deal with their own three-way TB. If Arkansas gets in then LSU is out. So that's not really an issue

Very true.

I hope all we need is for Stanford to lose (because I think that's very likely tonight) and for us to win out. Not that it matters, but I do think people realize how much of a fluke the TT loss was.

If Oregon blows out S, but LSU beat Oregon badly, the voters will not want a rematch. Oregon needs to mop the floor with S, to reinforce the idea of the PAC being a weak conference.
