When I was in high school, some of my buddies and I traveled down to Midwest City to watch our girl's basketball team play Woodward in the State Playoffs.

And we got crushed. Woodward is apparently really good at girls basketball.

That's all that I know about it.

shoulda had JB's.. hard to find if you aren't a local but best food in town.

There used to be a Mexican place downtown that had homemade tortillas. I guess it's no longer there.

I stayed at the La Quinta. The lady at the desk first recommended JB's then said it was "real expensive."

I remember them playing Broken Bow in the 5A State Championship game. Came in the game a huge underdog and Broken Bow had ran over everybody all year long. Woodward won in triple OT. Had some kid by the name of Chad Mead on their team.

I get Weatherford and Woodward mixed up...I get Tahlequah and Tuttle mixed up. Haha. Actually, I just took an Improv class with a group from NEOSU. They are called Red Letters. You should go see them sometime.

stayed in hampton inn last time. $109 with tax. stings to pay over a c-note and still wake up in Woodward.

Hey, we stayed at that Northwest Inn place about 15 years ago, I think it was still a Holiday Inn Holidome. it was on our way back to Tulsa from a trip to Colorado. I found the place a smidge depressing, but my (then) little girl loved pool, games, etc, so that made everything alright. Kids love everything. Its great.

Its tough to try and be the big town in Western Oklahoma.

Why do you hate Beaver?

I actually have good memories of Beaver for a couple of reasons. Nice town, camped at the lake there.

Its just alot smaller than Woodward, though, right?
