"LEWIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Oklahoma defensive end Ronnell Lewis has been named the Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Oklahoma's 41-25 win over Texas A&M Saturday.

The junior rom Dewar, Okla., had a team-high nine tackles, two tackles for loss (-8 yards), one pass break-up and one interception, which he returned 11 yards to the A&M 28 to set up a Sooner TD.

This marks the third time this season that an OU player has won the league's weekly defensive honor. Javon Harris captured the award after the Florida State game and Jamell Fleming was cited following the Texas game."

The most impressive thing to me is the way he wraps up on tackles. Rarely does anyone escape him once he gets his paws on them.

Maybe he can throw a tackling clinic for a couple of our players who think tackling means diving into a ball carrier with their arms wide open like they're playing airplane. Very frustrating when they have them contained in the backfield and then dive and slide to allow them to get positive yardage.
