He basically was like "Well, bye!"

They threw a big party at Missouri Sunday, making official the Tigers' SEC-bound departure from the Big 12 Conference.

Monday morning, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops was asked to give his reaction.

"Best of luck," he said. "We've got two good teams right now, and maybe more, that are on their way in. We'll keep playing ball here, too."

way to chuck away your only rivalry for a couple extra bucks and 5-6 win seasons. Should've stayed in the BXII north.

Too bad we've lost three "state" universities in Mizzou, Nebraska and Colorado. Those three being the solitary "big name" ones in their states. I hope we can survive.

we've lost 4 teams with a combined BCS record of 1-3

they are being replaced with 2 teams with a record of 3-1

Don't let the doorknob hit ya Mizzou. We can replace their home field drunken fans with no problem.

How long are we locked in having the BB tournament in KC? As soon as that commitment ends it's time to move it to OKC.

Well I know some other names you can call Tigers. But this is a family blog.

Agree 100% or at minimum a rotation between OKC and Tulsa.

Let's end it now after Mizz is gone. Let them see how well their fans would travel to a random football game and basketball tourney if the rest of the Big 12 isn't involved. They screwed their own state's city (and don't bother trying to convince me that KC is partially in Kansas --- everything worthwhile is on the Missouri side) by going SEC. It's not about money... it's about THEIR money.

Basketball tournies can serve the Kansas community just fine by being in Tulsa or OKC. We've got the facilities to handle the Big 12 tournies in both cities. KU brought tons of fans to the NCAAs here in Tulsa when they were in Tulsa last March.
