If LSU wins until the SEC championship and then loses to say Georgia while Alabama wins out. ESPN is saying the SEC would claim 3 of the BCS spots????
Georgia as the auto qualifier
LSU and BAMA as at-large bids
It's a long shot, but you know they'd love it.

Can't happen...only two teams from one conference.

This. If ESPN is really saying this.. whoever is saying it has no clue what they are talking about.

If we didn't have the two-team from one conference rule -- the SEC would take all the slots if ESPN had their way! :)

The guys talking about it said there was one exception to the 2 team rule and that was it.
a conference winner and then 2 top 5 teams or something like that.

Unless the top 2 teams in the final BCS poll are from 1 conference and neither of them won said conference. That could be the case here that is not being mentioned in the original post.
Basically going into SEC champ game you have
1. LSU
2. Bammer
*. UGA
Then after UGA wins:
1. Bammer
2. LSU
*. UGA
Bammer and LSU would play in NC game and UGA would represent the SEC in the Sugar Bowl.
