View Full Version : Extremely windy on Saturday for the ATM game... Who does that favor?

My guess is that it favors them a little more because they run from the I set more often. Thoughts?

it may favor aTm, but i think we game plan accordingly by using screen passes and short to medium range throws. our rec'rs do a good job with yards after catch, so i think we'll be fine.

That's probably conventional wisdom, especially given Whaley's injury. Hopefully it doesn't end up being a factor.

like the 50-60mph winds we were suppose to have yesterday? I dont' think it gusted over 25 mph.

It was windy at Kansas State as well. We set passing records.

nothing wrong with high winds...just mean everyone gets blown while watching football.

I think OG&E wind farms make out well.

We may get another 50yd FG ! (But I hope we just get TDs by the bunches)

Might get some ducks in the air in this game because of the wind. (Like one of Landry's picks against K-State) Still, both sides have to deal with it, so... we'll see.

We'll only be able to use Finch with the wind.

If we lose this game and people say the wind was the reason, we'd just be searching for excuses at that point. That said windier games are not so kind to less accurate qb's, especially those that sometimes throw behind their receivers.

Landry has a strong arm and usually throws a tight spiral. Should be fine. A&M QB is less experienced. Maybe the wind will mess with his head.

Gulp. Ya think there are any tickets left?

We'll only be able to use Finch with the wind.
Then our advantage because he's so low to the ground.

(no offense to any vertically challenged people here)

Not sure if this is true.
Several years ago in the Cotton Bowl, after a beatdown, Mack said the whorns lost because the wind was tricky. I didn't bother our QBs or receivers, so both sides don't necessarily have to deal with it. (If I knew where the winkies are since the board changed, I would use one.)

Did you read what I was responding to?

BetterSoonerThanLater apparently had some inside information that makes a ticket even more desirable than normal.

The wind will cary Finch into the endzone.

So, you think Josh is going to break out the windmill offense for this one? Good call!
