Probably because there was a mess-up in there... wasn't there a fumble or something? I don't remember. All I remember was winning :)

How dorky is it that I didn't have to google it?

History is not dorky. Although my opinion on the matter is probably invalid since i'm the one who posted it in the first place.

Did this cause anyone else to think of "Bill Dozer" from "King of the Hill"?

There was a fumble on what looked like it was going to be a zone read. They only showed the replay once, and I couldn't tell if it was Bell's fault, or if Finch knocked the ball out. I was really liking it until that play. The fact that Blake is from Kansas makes me think that he got a few plays because of family in the stands...but he didn't get any at KU, so maybe that's just me trying to figure out the reasoning.

I just learned today that OU ranks 15th in the country in Redzone scoring. That really surprised me. The only thing about that stat that is misleading, is that it considers any scoring, which includes field goals.

The KSU game must have padded that stat because it was way down there in previous games. Surprising it came up that much.

I hadn't looked at our rankings for this season, prior to today. I was expecting us to be in the middle somewhere, so I was really surprised to see us so high. But, if you consider the times we had to settle for a FG inside the 20, then it kind of makes more sense. I wish there was a red zone stat that didn't take FGs in to account.

The stay that is really low is the TD%, the one they always show on TV. We are 61st in thenation in that.

Those are much more telling statistics. Not sure why the NCAA doesn't track red-zone stats like that.

Using the stats given for the B12 rankings although OU is shown as No. 1 in RZ offense, we are 3rd if ranked by points obtained/points possible
(assuming 7 is the ideal each time in the RZ). Mizzery was 1. with 80.52%, ATM 2. with 79.12%, OU 3. with 78.57%, UT was 10. with 45.58%.

Using the red-zone stats the NCAA uses, Texas A&M is the top team in the Big XII, and ranked 7th nationally (93% success rate in the red-zone). I guess that just shows how many different ways you can look at red-zone stats.

Their percent shown is number of scores per scoring opportunity convetred to percentage, If team A was in the redzone 25 times and scored 25 field goals their RZ percentage would be 100% by that method.

BTW I am not sure if the data I used was the latest or a past week. I just grabbed my results from a spreadsheet I did within the last 2 weeks.

Used the latest data, 1. TT 83.3%, 2. KU 82.5%, 3. ATM 78.7%, 4. OSU 77.7%, 5. MU 74.6%, 6. KSU 73.6%, 7. OU 73.4%, 8. BU 67.5%, 9. ISU 64.5%, 10. UT 57.14%.
