I don't care who wins, I just hope one blows the other out so we don't have to hear about a stupid rematch.

Let them have their hype. It'll be over in a week.

Could you imagine if ESPN was airing the game?

They're so fast that the game has already happened. We just won't be able to see it until Saturday.

I just hope all the high speed collisions don't create a black hole that sucks in the whole galaxy.

In my opinion its leaning that way.

As much as I like good college football games, a part of me is hoping it is a blowout of 45-10 nature. this coverage and overhype is nuts. ESPN would have you beleive that this is it. This is the top matchup ever. There is nothing else.

If it is a close game, and everyone begins hyping it up for a BCS Championship rematch, I would actually boycott that game. Can't believe that situation would ever occur, but if it does, I might turn on Hockey instead *ick*

#1 vs. #2 matchups during the regular season are rare and have always been hyped. This one is more hyped because their is more money in CFB than ever along with the recent run by the SEC. There is an SI article rating the best 1 vs 2 regular season matchups in history and the '71 OU/NU game is at the top of the writer's list. (Warning: OU has been in a few, but no great endings.)

Experiments being conducted at CERN have verified that this game may upset the space-time continuum.

Those nerdy Sports Science segments were created for this.

That is good news. I was afraid I was going to have to record it and then slow it down myself.

I'm loving all the hype from ESPN basically saying "hey, watch a game that we aren't airing and don't even turn it over to South Carolina or Oklahoma State games".

Well it's been played before, but never at the level we will see from these two ultimate teams. The skill level and speed of these two teams has never before been witnessed by mere mortals. And, the coaching, never have the greatest coaches on earth ever met in such a magnificant setting. It will be totally orgasmic for the people who are fortunate enough to watch. I break out in cold chills just thinking about this glorius matchup. WoooooooHoooooo!

Yes this will be the first time BCS #1 and BCS #2 have played one another. That's of course if you don't count the annual BCS Championship Game.

Bama/Florida 09?
Mich/Ohio State 06
OU/Neb 00
OU/Neb 01

Those are a few I can think of.

If bama wins they will probably claim a few championships... after the 4 they've won this decade already... Like against Utah.

I always thought that would take over the bsu fiesta bowl in people's mind. But they still don't get hounded near as much as we did for that game...and that was a better bama team than our 06 team.

That MIGHT sooth our sensitivities about that '06 season final blunder.(assuming we can handle them this time)

Ironically, if Boise had just beaten OU by 2 TDs, maybe everybody would have forgotten by now.

But the game was just too damned awesome to forget (didn't AD have a heroic performance toward the end?).
