Mr. SS was getting on a plane for home, when the score was 14-17, bad guys. He won't be here til midnight. He told me to record the game, and not say anything, 'cause he wants to watch it tomorrow like it's live. Good Lowered...it's like when I knew we were having a girl and he didn't want to know!!! I don't think I can pull this one off, I'm just a little too giddy. Maybe I should just go see if I can find an Ambien and knock myself out. Anyone else had to do this? Advice?

That's probably for the best. IDK if I can make that happen or not. We'll see.

not with Mr SS.

I should hope not. I'd hate to have to cut a fellow SFer.

This happened to me during the FSU game.

My son was at the fair and got home right after the game ended, but none of them knew the outcome cause they knew I had it DVR'd. He and a whole gang of his friends came over to the house afterwards to watch the game while I sat in my room reading and giggling over everyone cussing up and down a blue streak when the Noles tied it up. I even went back through the house a couple of times with my "mad face" on and my son was convinced we had lost the game.

You are evil, FnG. I knew I hearted you. That was my first impulse, no doubt...he's known me for 20 years, he knows how I am when we lose. I definitely thought I could put my mad face on, but I keep smiling when I think about it. If he sees that, he's gonna know. Maybe I should just go shopping!!! That's it!!! I'm brilliant!!!

I did it in '06, Thanksgiving weekend. We were in SoCal visiting the wife's sister/brother in law; it was the weekend of the Boonag game. My in laws had sat TV I had them DVR the game while we made a trip to Long Beach, then watched the game later; didn't know the final score, watched it like it was live.

I didn't get to watch the RRS until midnight that day. My wife looked the score up online when we were driving back from Maryland and suprisingly didn't let on at all that she knew. She even watched the game with me. I was shocked that she pulled that off.

Sunny, just tell Mr. SS you "just can't watch THAT game again," then run from the room like you're crying when you're really laughing your *** off.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!!!

He better not be jet-lagged. That's the problem with being together so long. We compare our middle-aged selves to the twenty year old versions we used to know. ;)
