I know we were all gritting our teeth when he had the PAT blocked (but since they never showed the replay, I don't even know if that was his fault). But, how about the long FG just before half? I don't care if it was wind aided or not, that was great to see and had to boost his confidence...even though Bob tried to freeze him ;)

Yes! I thought he got too much grief last week.

When was the last time we got a 50+ yd FG? And it was ugly enough to bring a tear to Jimmy Stevens eye.

He did. I was happy for the kid this week.

I can't remember the last time for either (the 50+ yarder and the tear)

they must have hired that magic ST coach who was going to teach him how to kick...

Hartley had a 50 yarder I think.

Also, normal deep snapper for FG's was out.

2007, OU-Utah St. Also a 53-yarder.

Nice job on the long one but at the current time he ain't the answer...

He is 10 of 14 under 40 yards...last year Stevens was 16 of 19 and 4 of 4 this year at the same distance...

Many of you blistered Stevens even though his under 40 stats are better....he lacks a big leg but is normally very accurate at the shorter distances...

I've been on of the biggest critics of OU's lack of long field goal threat in recent history, so I've got to congratulate Hunicutt on his 53 yarder. I wish him the best and would like to see more of that type performance--consistently.

The difference is, there is hope of Hunnicutt getting better as a redshirt freshman and he actually has range while Stevens is done for as a senior and won't get better. Stevens performance warranted the blistering.
