OU #4 passing offense vs. KSU #87 passing defense. Check
OU #52 rushing offense vs. KSU #13 rushing defense. Oops
OU #4 total offense vs KSU #29 total defense Okay

KSU #88 passing offense vs OU #78 passing defense. ~Wash
KSU #19 rushing offense vs OU #28 rushing defense. ~Wash
KSU #88 total offense vs OU #41 total defense Okay

With the caveat that statistics always lie, the match-up looks to favor OU overall as expected. The biggest mis-match is our passing game vs their pass defense. But they faced a similar task against Tech and won with a bend, but not break approach combined with forcing turnovers.

Wildcards that could make the stats lie:
Home field for KSU
Time of possession for KSU keeps our offense on the bench
Our rushing game is better than #52 with Whaley in there.
Our pass defense is better against non-spread teams.
We win the turnover battle
KSU wins the turnover battle
SF.com members are still butt hurt from last week and don't have their heads in the game.
What else?

Are we? It's not like we can't run, but when the other team knows/thinks it a run (like goal-line/short yardage) we can't do ****. We have no push in the run game...

I meant to imply those stats *might* not be turn out to be true. But I can rephrase that one "Our rushing game is better than we showed against Tech if Whaley is in there". Whaley has been able to make yards when the line is not making it easy and the other backs have not shown that ability. I'm not talking about the goal line, just running in general.

That's true, Whaley plays with a fire I haven't seen since AD or maybe a little Allen Patrick as well. He fights through tackles even if he's given nothing to work with.

Whaley was averaging 5.6 yards per carry. That's not bad. You'd prefer 6+, but Whaley does well with our not so great run blocking.

2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 in the Big XII. That's crazy talk right there.

A medicocre running game and a terrible pass D says it all...same problems different season...I think back to AD and wonder how the hell he never won the Heisman...we see how...
