Kind of an apples and oranges deal. We give horns down for one week. That's why I don't dig on the upside horn stickers on a car. That places too much importantance on the whorns.

If we were ranked higher than ever, and for the first time truly controlled our destiny, would we be paying that much attention to our instate rival dropping a game. I doubt it.

OU and Texas have an equal rivalry that's deep in tradition, and championships, Okie St however is just a team giggling because it is ranked third in the BCS. Okie St is not OU's rival. Texas is.

From 2008. That makes more sense. That was one of the two previous years they were 7-0. We had already stumbled to texass.

By the way, we ended up 12-2, they ended up 9-4.

Aggies will be Aggies, it doesn't matter whether it is the Texas or Oklahoma kind, they are still nothin' but Aggies

That is what the Whorn fans I know tell me, they understand the relationship more than most. They see OU as a rival of "equals" and there is a respect there (at least for most of the ones that I know) that is not the same for A&M, they are not on that same level and has the same "little brother" mentality that OSU has.

Other than the occasional "horns down" you see once and a while (outside of the RRR week), I don't ever recall us having a sign referring to our season and incorporating an OSU logo. The point is that OSU is obsessed with being better than us (which will never happen on a consistent basis).

The truth is, OSU gauges it's success off of us (as many teams do). We gauge our success off of actual success.

Backyard Aggy has won 3 times in Lubbock. Ever. Before 2009, their last win was in 1944. (I think Sand Aggy played as the Raiderettes that year because there weren't enough men to field a team.) It will be interesting to see if their vicarious fan crush lasts past Nov. 12.

Their team may pull a good season out of their asses every few years, but Sheep Shagger fans will always be ****ing ridiculous.

What does LD mean? The reason I made it my sig is all this talk about our past teams choking on the big stage, and because of our history, people don't want to see us go on and do big things, whatever they may be. JB came out and told the reporters that this team is different. There is a different feel to this team than I've seen before, a certain swag. Now this doesn't make us invincible for sure, but I like where this team is headed.

And on December 4th, Badger could have complete control of, although I pray not. ;)

Edit: Baylor and KSU at home, Tech and ISU on the road... I just can't see it. Maybe Tech but that's it....

It's not about who would beat them, it's that OSU will forget they are supposed to be playing that weekend and drop a game. Blame food poisoning, the flu, or anything, it will happen.

There was a time when they were like whorn, from what I understand... they actually managed five victories in the early aughts and late 90s, so like Texas after a Red River loss, they could say "X of the last X" after losing in embarrassing fashion. Lose 52-9 in Norman? "4 of the last 7!" or "2 of the last 3!" Lose at home in 2004 because your kicker fetal positioned while your student section lined the ugly orange mats just waiting for it to go in? "4 of the last 8!" or "2 of the last 4!" Then, when the record wasn't even even in X of the last X, they either fell back to basketball, when they started to suck at that too, rasslin.

There is always the "50 national championships!"....

32 in wrestling(16 of those before 1950), 10 golf, 4 GIRLS equestrian, 3 CC, 2 in BB (both before 1950), 1 baseball (1959)

They should be saying "3 NC in sports that people actually care about all before 1960!"
