Live in the Denver area, and we're expected to get between 6" to a foot of snow tonight. The best part about this time of year is that the snow falls, then it's all gone in 48 hours.

I bet they don't even call off school. If it snowed that much in OK the news would have already coined a name for it...

About 10" on the ground where I live, and continuing to snow. It's good, wet, heavy snowman building snow too!

I thought the 10" comment would have gotten more attention. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

I don't know whether to be offended by this, or feel impressed. Eh, I'm too dumb to know. :)

That won't happen soon in OkieLand!
But, the neighbor has 3 pumpkins (sorta flat ones) stacked to look like a snow man, with all the trappings.
Merely reminds me of pumpkin pie...
It has arrived at Sam's Club!

I lived in Oklahoma for 20+ years, and have now lived in Colorado for 15 years, and I can say, without question, that Oklahoma is much colder in the winter than Colorado (at least Denver). We have a lot of snow on the ground, but I was able to walk the dog with a sweatshirt and gloves (of course jeans). I remember times in OK, when going outside was like getting into an ice bath. Maybe it's the humidity?

40 degrees in OK= 25 degrees in CO. it's the drier air.

this snow is effin up the trees in Boulder. it's pretty bad. of course, most of these trees aren't native to the climate anyway.

How much did you end up with up there? I'm in Westminster, and we had quiet a few trees downed, but thank goodness, I never lost power.

One of you go shovel my parents house. Well, you can use the snowblower. Dad had his hip replaced a couple months back

It's already melted/melting on the pavement...that's the beauty of the early snows. Where do they live? If they're close, I'll add them to my shovel list this winter.

Yep, it will be gone by the time I get up there Sunday night. I will be living in Aurora for now and working in LoDo.

I would bet the guy 2 houses down is doing it if dad isn't. Although, he started rehab early so he should be fine. Dad or myself always used to take care of shoveling for the older folks.

Yeah, I'm way up north. I shovel for 3 other elderly people in my neighborhood. They're great folks, and always offer to pay me...I just tell them that it's easier for me to do it, and hopefully someday, somebody will do the same for me.

These last two snows are the early winter ones...when it warms up the next day and melts on the pavement...so not a lot of shoveling needed, yet.

When did you move?
