Maybe we worked too hard to get that road game monkey off our back.....

Good thing we are AT Kstate next week. At least we don't lose on the road this year. :D

How much of the rain delay or looking ahead to KSU affected out performance tonight? Or both?

I can't imagine we looked ahead to KSU. I do think the rain delay had an impact. I expected TT to give us trouble for about a quarter or maybe more on defense, but I expected our offense to keep pace. Not having Whaley was huge and I kept hoping Stoops would change his mind and let B. Williams play. LJ was off all night, even when we were scoring in the 2nd half many of the throws were off target. The six 3-and-outs absolutely killed us and left the already struggling defense out there way too long.

It was eventually going to happen. If the UConn women lost, we were going to lose at home.

I'll admit I was worried that aTm was going to break our home winning streak. Guess I shouldn't have looked ahead.

I read elsewhere that OU is 75-3 at home during the Stoops era. Why is everyone mad again? I thought that is an excellent record.

Awesome thread title!! lol

The only excuse to be made is that this is not a Championship caliber team. Our offense is not quite as good as last years, or at least doesn't appear to be. The D is not even close to being at the level the media was talking about after the texas game. Then again, I was also singing their praises after that one, and the D deserved it. Looking back, our D hasn't faced any offensive juggernauts. FSU has proven to be overrated, and NO, we did not beat them up so bad that they couldn't win the next couple of games they played. lol

The reality is a truly elite team only comes around every so often. I watch other college games, and that elite team appears to be LSU. I think they walk into Bama's home and win, easily. Of course, I've been wrong about 82 times today. :)
