even though we have a game to get through before Manhattan, I just want to point out that Kansas State was less than 3 minutes away from losing to FCS (formerly 1AA) Eastern Kentucky at home. KSU did pull it out by a score of 10-7. Yes, it's the first game of the season but still. Oklahoma better not be messing around and better take care of business fast there.

Maybe Bob should raid the KState coaching staff again.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that the coaches are aware that KSU is undefeated.

I just want to point out that OU was tied with Kansas 10-10 in the 2nd qtr. We obviously aren't invincible and anything can happen, especially on the road. Bill Snyder knows how to coach. Don't forget about the 2003 Big XII Championship game.

If Bill Snyder was a real man, he would coach somewhere else and prove his worth and show that he isn't a two-hit wonder at the same program. I think he should do that right now. Annoying little pest.

K-State was an absolute doormat before he got there, and they withered without him.

i'd say he's okay

The crowd up there is annoying. With the key jingling, another ___ first down, etc. I wanted to punch someone.

We DO have to beat sand aggy this sat., and I am concerned our team won't take them srsly. I HATE those games where we don't take the opponent seriously.

I know Huepel will prepare the offense, he remembers the late hits that were never called. That was where he injured his elbow....
I also know that when OU plays a ranked team the effort is different.

What is with that key jingling thingy? Just about every Big10 school does it. It's stupid. What, our team is supposed to be intimidated by the fact that you have a key to your dorm room? Or maybe just surprised that your stupid freshman a** hasn't lost it already? Seriously... WTF?

Don't forget their little skit they do pregame at midfield.

Classy.

It is what it is (Manhattan). I expect a dog fight. Since we bring more horses to the race I expect the Sooners to win. However, I also expect it to be closer than any of us would like.

But then let's take care of the Pirates first.

Are they still pirates without Leach? I hope they get embarrassed every season until they fire Tuberville. It should be their karma for firing the most successful coach that school has had since the 70's.

Butt pirates, then the purple aglets. Keep your priorities in order folks.

In the proud tradition of Oklahoma State football, we invite you, the Posse, to dig those keys out of your pocket and take part in the original fan favorite here at T. Boone Pickens Stadium, good ol' Key Janglin'!

We invented it!

Except for a blowout win over Kent State, KSU's combined margin of victory in the other 5 games totaled 22 points. They win despite being outgained in yardage. I don't know how many more rabbits Snyder has in that hat but I'd bet he runs out against OU . . .

If OU brings their A game...which I believe they will...we win by 14...snyder has done wonders keeping the ball AWAY from the high powered offenses...Our defense is better than bu or tt...or mu's so I suspect his 245lb qb/fb running SLLLOOOWWW draws won't work for them. V will stack the box and make him throw to beat us.

Looking forward to the game...IF OU can bring their A game...

History is calling for a 100 page game thread on this one.

Manhattan is an old Swahili term for "ugly win".
