And its the worst we've played all year. Think about that before the sky starts falling on your head.

No joke. We all know this game could have been 60-3 but we didn't execute as well as we should have. Oh well. The D was great in the 2nd half.

I'm just glad we've got a couple of weeks to work on things before we face K State. Snyder is great at spotting weaknesses and taking advantage of them.

We kept them at 50% of their scoring avg. and total offense.

Seems our team just gets bored sometimes. Have to cut the crap.

In 1975 we would have taken this and thought we were kings of the world. I'll take it and be very happy.

Don't forget the 90's when a winning season would have been good. They may not have played to their potential but it's still a W.

And its the worst we've played all year. Think about that before the sky starts falling on your head.

Head Coach Bob Stoops

On his team's performance:

"I am really pleased with the run game. When we rush for over 200 yards, I know we are doing some good things. The defense had a couple of big plays in the first half and we did not feel like we were that far off from playing well in the first half. Then in the second half we just settled in played like we know how to play."

On the Kansas offense:
"Early on I didn't feel we tackled well or were as physical as we needed to be. They (Kansas) got some yards on us but at the end of the day, they end up with negative yards in the second half. They've been averaging 400 and 35 points a game so I think we handled it pretty well."

Sooners held KU to six total yards in the second half along with no points and one first down. Great defensive stand.

We needed that kind of game. Great defense in the 2nd half.

That was just like the 1974 game in Lawrence. Tied 14 all at half and a 44 to 14 final score. I just the Sooners just can't get excited about playing KU.

OU fans weren't going to be happy about this game unless we scored 60+ and held KU under 10. A lot of that has to do with OSU putting up 70 on them last weekend with no Weeden or Blackmon in the second half. Also it was frustrating watching OU struggle in the red zone multiple times against one of the worst defenses in college football.

Yet...as of 10-15 we are the 4th ranked Total offense in the Nation. LSU is 80th and Alabama is 24th.

LSU and Bama have great defense but they also play against run first pass on 3rd down teams . OUr team plays against some of the most prolific offenses in the nation week in and week out . I believe if we played predominately run teams every week , our defensive stats would be crazy,, and rite in with those two teams

Coach Bob Stoops recognized the problems OU had Saturday in the red zone in its 47-17 victory at Kansas. “Sorry we didn’t score every time, but we’re working on it,’’ said Stoops, according to The Tulsa World. Sooners RapidReports (http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/rapid-reports/team/OK)

Sorta a ragged offensive performance, esp. first half. Jones & his receivers seemed outta sync Don't know if it was KUs defense, or just busted patterns, miscommunications, etc. OU can get by with that with a Kansas, but watch out against the likes of OSU, or even KSU, who's emerging as a threat.

Sooners need to diagnose this type performance and make corrections......
