This guy is awesome, I understand Stoops' policy, but this guy deserves a scholarship, hopefully he get's one soon.

You mean only the scholly players can eat team meals because of "NCAA decree?" So Whaley can't even eat with the f'n team? What kind of asinine f'd up bull**** is that?

I HATE the NCAA.

And the bit about he and RGIII was really cool. I did not know that.

I really love hearing about kids like that. If I had the money, I'd cut a check for the cost of that kid's tuition and have it in the mail tomorrow even though he plays for an enemy team. The NCAA would forbid it of course...bastards one and all.

If you are not a fan of Dominic Whaley after reading that....GTFO!

simply amazing. his attitude is reminiscent of the 2000 team. i suppose there will be a team celebration when Whaley is awarded the scholarship at the end of the season. i'd love to see his reaction when Stoops gives it to him.

That is a terrific story. It restores hope in me that someday a walk-on will come along who can kick the ball out of the endzone on kick-offs.

That is one hard working young man.

After reading that, and all of the other stories I've heard about him, I am convinced that he's going to be a success no matter what he does.

His rewards will come. And he seems patient enough to wait for them.

If he keeps his focus, he'll get some interest in the NFL. Any salary there would be enough to clear out his loans.

Keep him hungry (not literally). If he makes it through this, it will only benefit him in the long run.

That would have reduced Texas' point total by 7, 55-10. It seems like a simple thing, but it really would be nice to have such a kicker.

Wow...that is just an epic point. Rudy is in my least five favorite movies ever...annoying guy not accepting he's not good enough, except for one career tackle. Move on, loser...Dom is the man who is proving his worth each and every week.

No, the food is paid for as part of the scholorship so if he eats at the training table it is a violation because he is not a scholorship player.
