Cleveland, OH - Former Oklahoma defensive end Auston English has been activated off the Cleveland Browns' practice squad, the team announced Wednesday.

The roster move comes after starting defensive end Marcus Bernard was placed on the reserve/non football injury list following a motorcycle accident Monday that resulted in him breaking his hand.

English was signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent following the 2010 NFL Draft and would later play for the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League.

He was signed to the Browns' practice squad last month.

Good for him. If nothing else, it keeps him on track for that NFL pension. I've known two or three guys who never made it big....but really appreciated the guaranteed income for life.
