Blake Griffin takes the low road

Published: October 12, 2011
Regarding “Grin and bear it: Griffin takes it all off” (news story, Oct. 7) about Blake Griffin's escapades with “baring it all”: How disappointing! Doesn't this man know he's been a hero for many little boys and even bigger boys? I'm surprised he would take this low road and I'm a big OU fan. This guy seemed to have it all, but with this stunt, he loses a lot of respect with a lot of people I'm sure. Why does he need to stoop to this? I'm sure that is not how his parents raised him. Very sad!

You wanna see what the letter is talking about? Here's what he did:

Holy cow, it's a not-naked Blake (it only looks that way, he's said in interviews that he was wearing underwear) doing the MJ Nike logo pose!

And once again, NOT-naked Blake striking an artistic pose... I assume this cover shot is based Leonardo DaVinci's Vitruvian Man?

Maybe not exactly, but that's what it reminded me of when I saw it.

In any event, there were FAR more exposing shots than what Blake did and I had no problem with it, even if that entire issue screamed "SPORTS PORN!!!!!"

Hey Connie. The 60's and 70's were a much more wholesome time for this country but its over now. Do you realize what kids today have been exposed to ? This seems like nothing compared to what they saw when they were in elementary school. Wish it was different but innocence is gone early these days. Stop Judging and use your brain for something productive.

What a stuck up bitch. He's a grown man and can make his own decisions. This isn't the first time a magazine has had a photo shoot like this anyways. Who really cares. If you don't like it, don't look at it. If you don't want your kids seeing, don't buy them the magazine. Some people get too worked up about things that don't effect them one way or the other.
