I didn't get a chance to hear it, but the shaggy commentary is pretty funny:

Please. I beg everyone who watches this thing: please don't post a single thing ****ing Mack has to say. It'll be a bunch of ra-ra good kids bull**** forced through his butter-toothed grin. Nothing worse than these ****ing things. Especially after an ***-raping like this.

Have you guys noticed that after a win our coaches always talk about how much we need to improve and after a loss they always talk about how "in some areas" we actually played pretty good. Goddamn.

lmao

What comment did he make to Travis Lewis?

@schadjoe: Mack Brown to Travis Lewis on field after game: "I hope you win it all."

This is a textbook case of "helsinki syndrome", sympathizing with your captors.

Mack might say that to Weden too after OSU spanks them.

It's why Texas A&M is cheering for SEC teams now :P

I imagine Mack does wish OU well, because if we can win it all, he can tell the committee reviewing his $5 million salary, "I only lost by that much because they were the best team in the country."

Maybe I'm missing something here, but isn't "Stockholm Syndrome"?

Jeremy: 'Did you say Helsinki syndrome? Did you mean Stockholm syndrome?'
Richard: 'Yes...yes I did'
Jeremy:"And what is Helsinki Syndrome?"
James:"It's when you're a bit of an idiot and you get your syndromes mixed up..."

I'm really glad I didn't watch this today. I can't stand post-loss pissy pants Mack who can't get why people might be mad when we get blown out by OU. Really don't say anything at all. Just respond with kicking oSu's *** on Saturday. Show me Saturday was just youth vs. experience. Because it felt a lot like Texas playing the part of Rice in a Texas blowout of Rice.

From the greatest action movie ever...

Gail Wallens: Author of "Hostage Terrorist, Terrorist Hostage: A Study in Duality." Dr. Hasseldorf, what can we expect in the next few hours?
Dr. Hasseldorf: Well, Gail, by this time the hostages should be going through the early stages of the Helsinki Syndrome.
Harvey Johnson: As in Helsinki, Sweden.
Dr. Hasseldorf: Finland.

and this...

The term Helsinki syndrome has been used erroneously to describe Stockholm syndrome, popularized by the movie Die Hard.[12] It is also used in The X-Files episode "Folie a Deux". Also, it was mistaken by BBC Top Gear's Richard Hammond while reviewing the Lamborghini Aventador in series 17.

please disregard my earlier erroneous post. :encouragement:

shaggy is the most classless board on the web. There are some pretty sick individuals down there and that are full of hate. I almost feel bad for them. Nahhhh!

Say what you want, but he's a classy guy. I bet the Big 12 would remain untouched if he were AD.

i do love visiting the nappy bevo anytime I need a laugh.

for the record, Texas has always played extremely well after a loss to OU. Historically, the next week was Arky, look at that record for insight. Ain't nothing special about Mack Brown's record after losing to OU, but his survivability after getting assblasted by Bob Stoops, now that's truly special.

the best thing on that site is the avatars! Jester's avatar is nice. but on to the press conference: the players are divided or naive or both. they have a horrible PR department b/c what they were told to say didn't make any sense after that beatdown.

I'll answer this one for Mack: Our team sucks and OU beat us down like a 5th grade bully taking a 2nd grader's lunch money. No, I don't know what to do. We'll keep on recruiting whoever is rated as a 5 star and hope like hell we get lucky with another freak like Vince Young someday.

There are some classics over there.

I particularly like some of the "lists" of reasons they couldn't compete, such as we, (OU) are a semi-pro, I.E. pay our athletes better than they can theirs. Pretty laughable given the deep pockets running around that program!
