It's primetime baby!! We shouldn't be pissed that all eyes are on us in what may be a good old fashioned *** whipping. When we start playing Thursday games at 7:15 then I would be worried. As for now keep those recruits eyes focused on the Sooners!

If you sit on the eastside of the stadium, you love evening games. It can get really hot with the sun on the eastside.

Night games are THE BEST. Does anyone else remember when we didn't have the option for night games? (and every once in a great while they would rent lights, which sucked, just to play a night game).

Maybe those of you that attend the games can drink a little more, and get the crowd worked into a drunken frenzy!

It's a hell of a lot better than 11:00 am games every week. We may not play another day game all season.

I see no more day games in OU's future for the 2011 season. When you are prime time you play in prime time.

Man you guys complain about rooster kickoffs, 7:00 (8:15 this week) kickoffs. Pick a side!!!

I'm just glad almost all OU games are on TV regardless of time. Not many schools can say that. With two new kids I can't get to the games for another year so TV is all I gots.

If Clemson and UNC win this weekend, I'm guessing they go to Clemson. Bad matchups that week.

Besides Norman, other choices: Auburn @ LSU and Air Force @ Boise.

I live on the West Coast. I know I prefer the night games. I can do yardwork, attend grandkids' soccer games, etc., then settle in for an evening of great football. Works for me.

At least some of you get to go the games live. Ingrates. :stupid:

Yeah, maybe. But I don't see them doing two Clemson games in a row. Clemson vs. UNC, Clemson vs. GT

I love night games -- hate 11:00 a.m. and not too much better with 2:30 until it gets cold. There is an atmosphere about the night games I love and you can see the fireworks going off as we score. I am very happy to have all night games at Owen Field.

Bittersweet for me. Setting up the tailgate, etc. is a lot easier with a 7pm game. However, tearing down is the suck, and we never get home until after 1 or so, and then have to drive back to Norman to pick up the trailers and crap. I'd like a 2:30 game every so often, but 7pm is better than 11 in terms of setting up/putting on a tailgate.

Looking like barbecue for TTU. Brisket, pork loin, Slovaceks, and maybe some ribs if I feel like smoking them too.

Okay, any guesses on gameday for that week?

Looks like the only ranked games are:
No. 4 Wisconsin at No. 23 Michigan State
No. 24 Auburn at No. 1 LSU

I'd bet they'll be in Baton Rouge.

I like the idea of night games, but hate the reality of getting back to Dallas at 2AM. It is nice for the drive up though.

They have a new invention. It's called a hotel room. You should seriously check it out. Or maybe even yermom's couch?

Thanks for the tip. :P I have family in Lexington, but it's hard to get out of there on Sundays so it's easier to just drive home. Yermom already warned me about his couch so I'll pass. :P

My fathers tickets are in Section 20, the afternoon games can get a bit warm. That is where we will be sitting for the game.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma 7:00 p.m. ABC (HD) (regional broadcast?)
Washington at Stanford 7:00 p.m. (ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2) (HD)
Wisconsin at Michigan State 7:00 p.m. (ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2) (HD) http://www.lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm So is the OU/Tech game only going to be shown only on a regional ABC broadcast in Okla. & Texas, and ESPN & ESPN-2 don't reverse mirror the OU/Tech game in areas outside the Okla./Texas ABC footprint? At least on Fox we'd be assured of a national telecast.
OK State at Missouri or TX Tech at Oklahoma 6:00 p.m. FSN Affiliates (HD) I don't see an FX game listed for that night, so I guess we will just have to wait for the ABC/ESPN coverage map to come out to see if OU/Tech will only be shown in Oklahoma & Texas. (unless outside of the regional ABC broadcast area, Fox will broadcast the OU/Tech game as part of their deal to allow */Kansas on the Whorn Network)

This is brutal for fans not living in the Norman/OKC area. I mean terrible. I get home after 1 or 2 am depending on how long the game takes. I cannot take my daughter, which is one of my favorite things to do. It ruins Sunday morning as well. I get one or two per year, but we are on pace to have EVERY home game at night this year. Terrible.

Why don't some of you drunk ****ers stick around afterward and help Dean clean up/tear down the tailgate?! You know damn well he's too old to be on the road too late.

Seriously, do any of you stick around to help out after the game?

If by "pushed Dean down" you mean suckled his ballsack then yes, yes you did. Quite well, thankyou.

We get some help during teardown. Boarder, STEP, BTK (sometimes he'd be better off just cheerleading...), Soonerwake, RacerX, SoonerMagicGirl, Homey, and a few others. Of course there's a bunch who sit and stare blankly at the sky when we go "you need to get up outta the chair and help" but overall, not too bad. This year has been better than most. We ain't bitching at all. Momma says "we very much appreciate the help this year." Direct quote this very second from over my shoulder.

I HATE night games! It is nice to get my daily chores done before a game, but I prefer the old days when games were at 1:30 PM. Blame Bob Stoops for making OU a prime time team!! The weather this time of year can get rather dicey...I don't mind the cold..just rain, and this is when we start getting rain. And we really need the rain.....

Football fans complaining about weather?????? Are you kidding me? Cold? It does not get cold in OK. Rain? Are you going to melt?

People this is football. To be played outside in the fall. If the elements and time of game is too much, maybe everyone should switch to being soccer/little league fans.

College Football is for serious fans who do not let time of day, distances, weather or sand in their crotch effect gameday.:courage:

Really enjoyed the 11am kickoff, because here in Djibouti/Iraq it was at 7pm, the 7pm kickoffs will not be shown until 3am in the morning. I would much prefer the 2:30 kickoffs so we don't have the late kick offs here.
