I was so happy for Venables today! It was obvious Harsin got way out coached today. They had no answers for anything we did defensively. All those Harsin/Boise St highlights, ESPN showed this week leading up to the game, well they can shove that up their A#%!!!!

Payback is hell. Tricks and non-standard schemes will only get you so far when you have boys playing men. OU's physical defense owned those guys. They had no chance.

Venerables had the defense ready to go. To see the Sooner defense be so overpowering to Harsin's offense made it even sweeter. Vernables won that one hands down!

Harsin had more real talent to work with at Boise.......the Whorns have "highly rated talent", not real talent.

The sa*et offense would have been better served practicing their basic plays instead of wasting time trying to get a big gainer by "tricking" the defense.

There are times when a well executed trick play can turn a game and even Stoops will call one on occassion (fake field goal versus Mizzou, fake punt versus 'bama) but when they become part of a team's regular scheme they go from trick plays to low-percentage misdirection real quick.

Our D was awesome yesterday. They got a ton of pressure and the two QBs could never settle in. They were running scared all day. Hell Tony Jefferson literally put his foot up Shipley's *** at one point. :)

Sweet. It seemed Shipley looked for an excuse to fall down whenever the ball was thrown in his direction. He would make a great punter. Or Thespian.
