Landry v. Mccoy, Gilbert, and prolly alot of other inexperienced 5* whorn qb's.

any of those qb's have the acorns to handle a game like this?

If Gilbert is on the field, he will probably be escorted out

Gilbert has had season ending shoulder surgery and has announced his intention to transfer.

You won't see him tonight.

The other two guys (Ash and McCoy 2.0) are both very inexperienced - they've only seen the field for the last 2.5 games, and even then were sharing snaps.

It's often said that when a football coach has two QBs, then he has none.

I hope that proves again to be true in the Cotton Bowl.

Either way, QB should be a big advantage to the Sooners.

I keep thinking back to Landry's first time in the OU/TX game. He performed as well as could be expected I guess, but he also had a good team around him, with a lot of proven talent. Texas QBs have had a little more experience than Landry did before his first RRR, but this Texas team is nowhere near as solid as our team was (for Landry).

All of that being said, I think it can be difficult for defenses to prepare for two QBs. Which may provide some decent offensive plays here and there for texas, but I still think it's going to get ugly for texas...and ugly early.

i'm no defensive strategist, but with 2 inexperienced QBs (potentially) playing, i'd send 8 guys in on a blitz every down. i'd even send someone over to mack to tell him we're coming, ON EVERY DOWN. i'd have all my guys watch the destruction of ridgemont high's charles jefferson for 24 hours leading up to the game.

Ash throws a good ball. From what I have seen he can be a threat if given time!

Congrats on game planning us to lose by 2 TDs!

I'm glad the horns think they are going to win. That makes the Golden Hat look all the more better!

I think the best thing to do is to confuse them by mixing up coverages. If we can get pressure with our front four there will be no need to blitz too much. I'd rather have Jefferson back there wreaking havoc in the secondary.

Actually Landry was a lot more experienced than either one of these guys during his first season..He ran a lot more plays and had about 115 pass attempts before the ut game..Ash had 19 attempts now and McCoy has 37..

The difference with a quarterback who can make plays with is feet is that if he gets in trouble, he can run and try and make something outta nothing and build his confidence that way...But the surrounding cast was/is a lot better for Landry
