The wife has no interest in an 8:15 kickoff.

I might go if we can fly. Not much on the drive to Lawrence.

I'll go.
What time will you pick me up?

It's a short drive from KC for me, but I don't know if I'm down with the 8:15 kickoff. After getting back to my house at 3 am last year after the Mizzou game, I promised myself I wouldn't do that again. 8:15 kickoff means the game won't be over until midnight. By the time I get to my car and home, I'm looking at 1:30 most likely...ugh.

I'm just an old fart now...never thought I'd be this way.

You must provide your own transportation to the Lawrence vicinity.

I've always wanted to go to a KU or K-St away game. Does anyone happen to know which section is primarily for the visiting team?

Lawrence isnt that bad of a drive..........well, getting there anyway - coming back after a late kickoff would suck

It's sucks bad enough just getting back up that hill after a day game......but making that hike after midnight might just do me in.

Depends on where you are starting from. Air > Ground for this one.

bus? with the commoners?

Bus from the Allen Fieldhouse parking lot on the other side of the hill to the stadium and back. Unlike most places, I don't avoid the parking shuttle at KU because they're pretty efficient, and the lines at the stadium move pretty quickly. More importantly, attendance for an 8:15 kick where they're going to be blown out won't be great, and even less so by the time I leave after the game.

almost sounds like Baylor - except for the efficient shuttle bus part

Why would anyone need a shuttle bus at Baylor?

Because you need to stay away from the crazy people in Waco? Because SicEm gets clingy? Because the trip to their stadium from campus is long and arduous?

if you spend the night in Waco - they have a shuttle that goes from the hotels to the stadium - it takes a rather lengthy route to get to and fro

I plan on going. I am just over here in Leavenworth (the town, not the prison)!
