Michigan State tried to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the later part of the game. It really makes you wonder if it might be wise to at least try to mix up your plays when you are ahead near the end, even though it is possible you might throw some incompletions to stop the clock. If you run three times up the middle, you will certainly be punting and your opponent can use time outs anyhow.
