View Full Version : A&M Removes Conference Branding?

I am watching their game, and they do not have the usual Big XII Conference emblem.

Do I just not see it, or is it not there?
Also, Can they do that since they are currently still Big XII members?:-p

I have no idea but then I don't give a **** what they do.

I just want to be at the game in November to watch the Sooners say bye bye A & M.

I agree. Will be sweet to give them a proper send off :)

Where would you expect the emblem? Are you talking about their jerseys?

NathanStinson
10/1/2011, 11:55 AM
Yes. I thought that they usually had one on their jerseys?

Of course, there is a real possibility I am losing my mind :-p

Maybe the Big 12 removed them because we don't want to claim them.

That's petty. Typical aggie crap, though. Are they really so butthurt that they have to act like gradeschoolers?

SEC Network is everywhere. It is ridiculous.

Aren't they playing at Jerry's World?

Is there an SEC on the field?

Edit: nm...I thought you were referring to the field. Where does OU wear a BigXII on their unis?

NathanStinson

'They have said several times "The SEC on ESPN"

It's in every commercial transition. The down and distance on the scroll rotates from the actual down and distance and SEC.

Didn't they say "The ACC on ESPN" when we played FSU?

ESPN has contracts with the SEC and the ACC for Networking.

CBS also has a contract with the SEC.

Fox has a contract with the BigXII, but doesn't market it that way.

Doesn't the home team get to use their network affiliation or whatever?

The Aggies should be in a mini-conference with Arkansas, Georgia, and Tennessee, made up of the most overhyped teams in college football, or teams whose accomplishments have not lived up to the programs' reputation and fans' bluster. The Aggies are leaving the Big XII with whopping one conference title and almost annual beatings by Texas and OU. They will get beat down even more in the SEC. I just don't get the attitude and chest beating. It's like a cadet cultist who acts all military and then never enlists.

But UGA and Tennessee have won national championships...while I was alive.

Yes.

A&M removing the Big XII logo...I don't know that I'd have thought to do that, but hey, whatever floats their boat.

Meh. Georgia and Tennessee are still not big time. If they were, Georgia wouldn't only be known for Walker and Tennessee wouldn't only be known for "Rocky Top".

Looks to me like AM will be able to handle its own in the SEC.:fat:

ARkie is the home team for the neutral site so their network picks up the game. No BIG12 or SEC eblems in the death star/jerry world.

A&M looks pretty darn good... I think the big 12 is pretty good this yr

Off topic, but who is calling this game? the crew is HORRIBLE. It's like he has no concept of the college rulebook. Arkansas caught a pass in the end zone, then the WR dropped the ball. If you've ever watched CFB you know that the receiver has to maintain possession going to the ground (and even after contact with the ground) in the endzone. Then, when A&M was driving with 40 seconds left, after a first down, the announcer claimed that Texas A&M called a time out because the clock had stopped. Just bad.

If this is true, they can stop playing for a Big 12 championship.

I'm not real sure about the Big XII logo on the uniforms. I haven't seen (noticed) any on the Tech or Kansas jersies, either.

I may be wrong, but I'm fairly certain we have a small Big XII logo on the back of our helmets.

SicEmBaylor

Yep. This helmet is from the Army tribute game a couple of years ago, but the back is basically the same.

Last win over an SEC team by aTm was 1995 over LSU. Jus sayin.

A&M has a lot more practice at meltdowns than we do.

Watching A&M Football is like...That scene from saving private ryan when the German is standing over the guy and has just won the hand to hand battle and is ever so slowly plunging the knife in the soldiers chest while he is pleading for him to stop

That is quality humor right there.

omg. That was the most satisfying 8 minutes that I've ever spent on the internet.

TAMU is the worst. I really hope that they're continuously humiliated this season. I hope that Baylor beats them by 30.

With epic performances like the one they pulled off today, I'm sure the SEC and the B12 would be proud to go ahead and let aTm put an SEC logo on their jerseys now.

That is a good comparison, but I would equate more like watching the translator guy just stand there as the guy is killed.

A Big 12 crew headed by Randy Cristal.
