I've been wondering ever since I first saw the big pit next to Chili's on teh Ed Noble, back in ought 1. WTF is that dang deal?????? It's in the middle of a pond, a white building that has taken a decade to get to "almost finished". Still no idea who is building it or what it's going to be.

Anyone?

I've wondered the same.

Me three. It looks Asian/seafoodish.

It's a psychological experiment. By even mentioning it, you have all failed.

Its going to be some kind of seafood restaurant -- that's what the manager at Chili's said, anyway. No idea why it's taking so long to build.

The owner is an extremely eccentric guy who has a hard time making his mind up on things and changes the design on the fly.

He runs out of money and it sits there. Then he gets a wad and hires subs again and a flurry of work proceeds, only to shut down again.

He is building another mess that will fall to the trashheap that is the folly of Norman West-side restaurants.

It's just taking him longer.

From what I've heard (girlfriend worked for Hal, the guy that owns Charleston's, etc.) the guy building that one has changed his entire concept about once a year since he started work on the place. No idea when or if it will ever be finished.
