View Full Version : Could KState upset Baylor?

Was over placing my VBets, and got curious on this subject. Wouldn't have thought it possible until Kstate's upset in Miami. Despite having a smaller stadium, the Kstate fans can get pretty loud, and Snyder is a sneaky guy.

Some of the stats are pretty interesting. Baylor #2 in total offense, KState #6 in total defense. Griffin has thrown more TD's (13) than incompletions (12). No interceptions at all.
Kstate benefits from playing Eastern Kentucky and Kent State in its first two games, though.

I ended up taking Baylor. Betting against Griffin right now seems ill advised.

Baylor getting beat is never an upset.

For entertainment purposes only, correct? ;)

I am on the fence w/ Baylor. I cashed w/ them on TCU and Rice, but this is their first road trip and they are going to Manhattan. If Willie, his guitar, and the power towel are rocking, then Baylor has no chance. :D

Truthfully though, I think Baylor can get it done on their first road trip. Griffin and Wright are the real deal, but I will pass this week. IMO there are other games that I like a lot more that I will put some Diet Dr. Peppers on.

I actually did put a dollar or 2 on Baylor, some on the vikings, and some on Florida

That is a great stat. It makes me shake my head every time I see or hear it.

K-State has a chance. Baylor's defense is average so the Wildcats could control the clock and the tempo. Get a couple of turnovers and play some defense and the 'Cats could win. It wouldn't be a huge upset.

Baylor's defense is horrible, not average. Still, I think Baylor wins.

I checked the updated point spread --- it's still about 3.5 for Baylor. Interesting. No love for KSU after their road win over Miami amongst the vegas bettors, I guess.

I could see Old Man Snyder pull off another Manhattan Miracle this season. I am very surprised they're still undefeated in Little Apple. Maybe the old guy has some coaching left in him after all :D

PS: As long as it was mentioned, you can vBet on this game and all other Big 12 games (not including OU, which has its own separate, special event... here! (http://www.soonerfans.com/forums/showthread.php?159984-OU-versus-Ball-State)) right here! (http://www.soonerfans.com/forums/showthread.php?159920-10-1-Big-12-Saturday-matchups-%28not-including-OU%29)

A majority of you are picking Baylor at this point by a great margin. Hmm...

What alternate universe are we living in? KSU is unbeaten, playing at home, and the underdog to Baylor!

There should be a vbet on whether Georgia Tech will score on their first play of the game for the 4th straight week

Oops my bad, I watched an old College Football Live last night they were talking about how they scored on the first play of their 1st 3 games. Did not realize it was old until you mentioned that.

Baylor should win handily. KState will not be able to match scores with Baylor

But here's the REAL question: Could both schools handily handle the Pokes? :D

I think you should worry about both baylor and k-state this season :stunned:

You can throw Miami in there as well. They're #75 in total offense right now & that's the HIGHEST ranked O that KSU has played.

Truthfully, why should we worry about them? Yall may consider our D to be bad but if ours is bad, then Baylor's is awful. And we beat K-State by 4 touchdowns, book it

KSU's biggest win is Miami...a team that lost to a horrible Maryland team. I'm going with Baylor.

That KSU/Miami contest was a cool game. Miami scores on 4th down with seconds to play to win the game only to have it reversed via replay to give the game to KSU. And the replay was correct.

Other than Michigan/ND, that was the best finish to a game I've watched this year.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise RGIII for every touchdown throw.
Praise McLane for all his cash.
Praise CAB, RGIII and Bennett's stache.
Amen.

AMEN!

I can't understand why griffin didn't carry the ball on 4th down

As an armchair coach, and with 20/20 hindsight, I thought the 4th down play call was terrible. They gave Griffin one option, pass...to one receiver. At least give him a few to read, or even run if need be.

Hats off to KSU for the win. If Griffin could play defense, Baylor might have won.

Kansas State seems to thrive playing Texas teams.

That was a nice win for the Wildcats, and no one should underestimate the coaching of Bill Snyder.

No doubt about it the guy is impressive...

They have Mizzou at home this week then tech and KU on the road..

They could be 8-0 coming into Norman...
