After successfully navigating a brutal opening month, LSU was recognized as the nation's top team. While some coaches might feel the ranking brings an extra burden, Les Miles is confident it won't bother his team. To make sure they avoid a possible letdown, the Tigers need look no further than the last time they faced Kentucky four years ago.

This is the weakest Kentucky team in a while. Newton has proven to be a bust at qb, but the Cats have no other good options. In Lexington, the feeling is Joker Phillips may lose his job at the end of this season. A 4-8 season is quite possible. Joker is a nice guy, but many feel he is out of his league. He followed a wise old coach, Rich Brooks, who helped UK to some level of respectability, but Joker is just not on Brooks' level. The good part about all this is my tailgate friends have been selling their tickets, so we just hang out and listen for crickets to chirp from the stadium during the games.
