We're wanting to find a place with good steaks to celebrate the roasting of Bevo in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions? We are staying on the north side if that matters. Would prefer no foo foo places that will want the equivalent of a house payment. TIA

so you want a good steak without actually paying for it? :D

I would suggest Del Frisco but that may require a house payment

are you staying on the north side by I-35 or the tollway? (or 75?)

Did you forget to add Babe after Dallas? If so there'd be an endless list...

Thanks for the info... I don't mind $40 - $50 a pop, but we wen't to a place in Minneapolis once that cost us $210 for two of us. I guess steak prices may be better down south though.

Stayin at the Hilton on 635 near North Dallas Tollway...

What is the name of that place that has the $50 endless cuts of steak...Brazil something. Someone recommended this place and was just asking if anyone has tried it and what they thought. Thinking about going there Friday before the game.

Fogo de Chao, Texas de Brazil or Rafain. Rafain is my personal favorite.

If you are looking for a straight steakhouse, it is hard to find a good mid-range. There is Sawgrass which is to me lower end. Ruth's Chris and Fleming's will cost you $200 for 2. The food is good, but it is expensive. I lived in Dallas up until 5 months ago, and my favorite was Jaxx Steakhouse 14925 Midway Rd, Addison, TX. It isn't that far from where you are staying, and the prices are mid-range.

I was going to say Ruths Chris also. You can get out around $150.

Bob's Steak and Chop House & Del Frisco's are highly recommended, but on the pricey side.
