Not legal, but it's been known to happen. It's a pretty major violation to contact a student athlete at another school.

I'm sure he's been told he'll have a scholarship next year. I think we're at 85 right now, so there's none to give. I assume that the two kids who've transferred are still in school this semester, so you can't just give him their money.

If you've never played sports then I can understand this statement. It's impossible to be "amped" up week to week in a sport like football. You would think it would be easy but it's not. Coming off a big win like that I told my buddy that I would be happy with any kind of W this week.

As stated earlier it is in reference to the idiot hornfans that had started a thread there that said "Sam Bradford seems like he kinda sucks" or something close.

They then proceeded to mock Sam in every way imaginable, but as he progressed a Sooner fan would bring it up and they started back tracking until it was finally just closed because it was so embarrasing to them and showed what idiots they truly are.

Against my better judgement - and b/c I apparently have nothing better to do - I actually went to hornfans and tried to dig up that old thread. I was at the spring game this year. Whaley had the best run of the day. I said, "I want to see more of this kid. I like what I have seen." It has become reality. I couldn't be more happy about what has transpired. Stoops/Cale saw it. They gave the kid a chance that he deserved. He has proven that he needs to be on the field to give us the best chance to win. He is a guy the every-man can get behind. Our coaches look that they have their eyes open. Its a great situation.

I am not sure you can give a scholarship mid-semester and if you did, it would just apply to the next semester anyway, right? No retroactive scholarships that refund money already paid, no?
