Who knows. Maybe Kameel Jackson has shown more at practice? I wish them all luck, but there are only so many snaps to go around, and we are in the business of winning and not making kids feel good inside. :)

If it is twitter that caused him to get suspended, what did he say? Having Stills and Broyles to compete with must make one's head spin. However, Josh used to hit every eligible guy on the team.

Maybe more guys got on the field then. Maybe Franks is never high enough on Landry's reads.

while i agree that twitter blows arse when you want to put your thoughts out there,( that's what teammates and coaches are for,trey), i really don't see anything too harmful in his tweets. suspended indefinitely though? seems a bit harsh.

Kameel Jackson is a huge surprise to me. He reminds me a lot of Ryan Broyles. To be honest, I think that he is one of our best backup WRs.

Franks has never impressed me. He may be fast, but he is always stumbling or slipping over his own feet so being fast doesn't seem to manifest itself very often. We'll move on and be fine. Maybe Roy can get some time as a return man now.

I agree that Franks has not been overly impressive. He is small, doesn't seem to have the same knack for getting open as Broyles, and although I'm sure he clocks a good 40 time, has never done anything in space to particularly impress me. I think, that for the 3rd time in 3 seasons, the coaches will put Dejuan Miller in and he'll play very well. Not sure what it is D. Miller does that has the coaches so reluctant to use him, but he has always performed when on the field.

I'm glad he said "I take full responsibility" because I cringe every time I hear someone say something like "I apologize for the situation I'm in" because that statement tends to deflect accountablility away from oneself. It's almost as if they're not sorry for their actions but instead sorry that they are in a bad situation.

But he said the "full responsibility" part so I guess this rant is about nothing...

INot sure what it is D. Miller does that has the coaches so reluctant to use him, but he has always performed when on the field.

From my game observations:
1. He 'jumps' for every ball....keep your feet on the ground and learn to catch with your hands, not your body!
2. He drops the wide open easy ones with space to run and then astounds you by catching the difficult ones.

It's a credit to Franks that he is accepting responsibility and working to redeem himself.

I agree. I think Franks has good potential and obviously a good athlete. But he can't seem to get out of his own way. He catches the ball, heads up field and starts stumbling. It's the strangest thing.

I don't know what Franks did to get suspended indefinitely, nor will I speculate. However, did anyone catch the ESPN four part series about OU football. During an interview with D. Hurst, there is a player behind him on the stretching table talking with a female trainer (I'm guessing). You can hear the girl say, "Did I touch you?..No I did not!....Don't ever touch me again!" It looked like Franks.

Again, I'm not insituating it was inappropriate behavior with a female that got him in trouble. I sure hope it wasn't. Perhaps David will enlighten us.

What I'm saying is I have no idea what the kid did to get in trouble, but if that's Franks in the ESPN video, and I think it is, then we see some character issues before the season starts.
