Can someone tell me WTF FSU was attempting to do on that play? Trickett comes half-running parallel to the line of scrimmage looking as though he is running the option... only there is no pitch man in sight... then Wort blows him up for about a 5 yard loss. WTF was that? Broken play?

Had to be broken, my guess he was supposed to go the other way.

Shovel pass. The back or the flanker, not sure which was setting up for the shovel pass.

Yup, if you watch the play you can see the guy (#12) running in front of the QB only going the opposite way. Sort of a bubble screen/shovel pass.

Wort was having none of it.

No.

It was totally a SHUFFLE pass. Possibly a SHUTTLE pass. But in no way was it a shovel pass.

You guys are all wrong, that was clearly a Utah Pass in action.

Not a terrible call, but too slow-developing for an OL that's getting beaten like a drum.

I think it was the Triple Lindy, but I hear only Rodney Dangerfield could only pull that off. Dumb 'noles!

This is correct.. It was just blown up WAY before it developed..
