Was reading on SI.com that Lewis played with a cast IN the shoe and that the toe is still broken. Can't believe he played and tied for the team lead in tackles with 8 on a broken foot.

Travis loves being a Sooner and its obvious that nothing was going to keep him off the field in this game.

I saw that as well. Also, they asked him it hurt, He said uhhh yeah the bone is still broken. Had to laugh at that.

What a trooper. He said the only way he wasn't playing in that game was if he didn't make the trip.

Lewis loves to be on the field, hope it fully heals soon.

That guy is a true leader. There's a reason why his boys have so much respect for him

Guy has the heart of a tampon.

Please find the SNL skit with the 'southern' coach played by Chris Kattan.

If it's still broken and he keeps playing on it, how's it going to heal? It's not like his feet don't experience stress or movement during a game.

I heard Travis didn't want to favor his one foot so he broke a toe on the other one, any truth to that? :)

Yes.

I heard that Travis Lewis felt bad for the toes of the world so he made it a point to break a toe on the foot of every Florida State player to promote equality amongst toes.

He did this with sheer willpower. This is what actually knocked Kenny Shaw out as Travis Lewis was aiming for his toe when he was still in the air. Sadly though, Kenny Shaw can no longer count to potato as he once could.

I 'spect we may not see much of Mr. Lewis against Mizzou. I figure he'll get a couple more weeks off and then back against Texas, myself.

_I'm with you. Missouri spreads the ball around so T Lew would have more coverage responsibility, if he plays, it'll be limited.

Who needs Chuck Norris? We have Travis Lewis.

Travis Lewis doesn't always drink beer, but when he does he prefers Dos Equis.

I want to see what jkm thinks. I think this was one of his "turn it on" games where he fought for everything. In those games he is a spectacular LB!

Don't believe everything you read in the funny papers.

I remember another linebacker that played with a broken bone in his leg... he wore #20... we won #7. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Lewis' return is what made our defense so nasty and physical. His contribution to that game goes well beyond his 8 tackles. The defense goes as Lewis goes.
