He may bring down Auburn at some point, but at this point...

V. Green Bay

28/46 432yds 3 Ints 1 TD

56yds rushing 1 TD

2 games, 2 losses 400yds + passing in each of his first two games.

I was a doubter. Hard to ignore his ability now. Perhaps he WAS worth $200K?

I wouldn't crown him just yet. 46 attempts? 3 picks?

I thought he would have a Tebow-esque NFL career, or lack thereof, but he is pretty good. He threw a TD today that had the touch of a veteran.

It was clear he was no Tebow - his mechanics were already decent at Auburn and he has a rocket for an arm. The pros have already improved those mechanics, so he seems very coachable.

You are correct, sir. But I didn't expect the rest of it.

Stop it. You're trying to choke out my Cammy Cam hate and I, sir, will not stand for it!

I know...for a while I often flushed some real nasty Cam's every morning.

Pack just came off a huge win against the Saints, so they were sluggish. With that said, Newton has some skills. If he can refine his accuracy more he could be a solid QB.

Cam's success makes me wonder what Sam could do if he had a receiver that was even half the caliber of Smith on his team.

It's still very impressive. Remember, there is a reason the Panthers had first pick.

Teams are probably still stacking the line to stop Williams and Stewart. Cam will eventually throw imself into some more typical defenses.

He's really good and will continue to improve. You could tell e was different from Tebow in college. Taller, better passer, combined with winning games. He will be a good one.

I think both he and his father are dirty but I'll concede he's a phenom as a player. 800 yds passing in your first two NFL games is amazing. I guess lightning can strike twice in the same spot after all....

Impressive start, to say the least. His 3 INT's are just a taste of what's to come IMO though. Once defenses and DC's know his weaknesses, we will definitely see a decline in his play.

Smells like haters in here. F*** Cam Newton and Allbarn, but you gotta respect his start...

Refine his accuracy? What have you been watching?

Fair enough, but the yards this guy is putting up after his first two games as a rookie is VERY impressive.

Sure, he needs to develop, but unless his brain gets in the way he's going to have a pretty good career.
