I can't comprehend how our kicking game is where it is. Every kick is an adventure. I find myself wishing we had kickers that are currently playing at schools like Toledo. Is there really so little talent available that the number 1 team in the country (for the 101st time) can't find a decent kicker?

Jimmy's percentages are good because we have had to change our game play to accommodate his poor play. I don't understand why that seems to be acceptable.

Patrick did a good job at the end of the game on kickoffs. A lot of those kicks got into the endzone. The value of this is completely unappreciated.

The guy has a terrible looking kick, but he's making them consistently (outside of that missed PAT week one, wtf). He contributed in a big way against Nebraska and he was perfect tonight when we really needed him to be.

That said, we should have a much, much, much better kicker than him.

Too funny. I did the same. I laughed and then busted a gut laughing when they showed Stoops do the facepalm. The last comment is spot on. You could tell he was going to be "talked" to over that kick.

The reaction no one is mentioning is Jimmy's own reaction. He started to cheer when it went through and then realized how bad of a kick it was and made a helmetpalm gesture like, "Oh my gosh that was aweful". It was pretty funny too.

If we were playing Va. Tech, known for their special teams play, Jimmy might not have gotten one kick past the line of scrimmage. Those consistently low kicks are just begging to get blocked.
