kind of like Notre Dame and Miami seem to have ours. I am too lazy to look up the all-time records in these match ups, but I am pretty sure I am right.

yep......

FSU 5-1
ND 1-8
UM 3-4

Hmm, I would have thought OU's record against UM was worse, or maybe it just felt like that in the mid-80s.

Last five games vs. FSU we have won...last time they won was 1964 Gator Bowl. Most they have scored in that time is 17. Doesn't mean squat for this year, but sure prefer it over what we have done against the Domers and Trojans.

1964 Gator Bowl..... that had to be shortly after the Burt Reynolds era??? lol

Gator Bowl loss was a classic trap game. FSU had recently been a girl's school and had a new football team. Playing in their home state. Had Biletnikoff.

OU kind of embarrased to be out of the Orange Bowl again. Gomer Jones first year following Bud the Great.

And four of OU's major stars were kicked off the team the night before the game, due to having signed pro contracts.

Other than that travesty, the 'Noles have never been able to beat us, although we have never gone into their stadium before. (2 games in Norman, and 4 bowl games, all played in Florida)

I don't buy into that stuff. In these kinds of match-ups there are different players from year to year. OU better go into FSU with that hungry mentality or they will lose.

I don't believe in having teams number unless maybe you're talking about playing in consecutive years. We haven't played them in 10 years. If we win Saturday, it's because we are better than them this year, not because of anything that happened in history.

You SURE you haven't had any blunt head trauma in the last 12 months?

Only random events like coin tosses and dice throws are unaffected by past and future events in terms of probabilities. There are many variables in a football game that may not be as important as the players in a given year, but still have to be taken into account such as home field, weather, and even the history between the schools.
