Thinking about buying one. Never owned one before. Who makes a good quality one?

I got mine from Wilson's Leather probably 10 years ago. Lasts great. Hit it with some leather conditioner every six months or so.

Fox Creek has some good stuff and although primarily motorcycle jacket oriented, there are some styles that could easily pass for regular wear. American made as well if that is important.

As long as it's real leather, you shouldn't have a problem. I've got a couple that are 25+ years old that have been in the weather on a Harley for thousands of miles, thrown around the back of a truck, sat on, etc. and they're both still in great condition. There's no reason to give $300+ for a jacket because of a name brand.

I got a black lambskin from Claiborne, and a brown leather from Eddie Bauer. Bought em both on sale and like em both.
