My Sooner Brethren:
This day...at the end of the day...please reflect on what we have been granted through the selfless bravery and unbridled courage of the fallen patriots,
both of 9-11-01 and those who came after...in service of our country and in defense of our homeland, here and abroad. God has blessed us with the
magnificent, belligerent swaggering boldness that is our uniformed warriors going into whatever challenge has presented itself brings to bear. The world
knows that the USA's finest will preserve and protect freedom where freedom needs to be.
On September 12, 2001 I told my wife that I will put up my flag and fly it 24 hours a day until the self proclaimed enemy was brought to justice. On May
2, 2011 I was able to take down the flag at sundown, as it should be. Today I shed tears of pride and of grief upon reflection of what this anniversary
means. God bless the USA!
