He might not suck, but he did not play well today.

Seven dropped passes doesn't help him look good.

Those receivers are the reason the balls are getting dropped. You can't ask much more of Sam then to land that ball directly in their gloves, only for the ball to still get dropped. It's rather pathetic. And Sam injured his hand so now it's even more sad. :(

Unlikely to get much better with Amendola and Clayton both out.

Those receivers were pathetic -- right to them and they dropped the ball. Where did they find these receivers?

The receivers were aweful for sure. But Sam was a little off also.

Praying he is ok.

Hope Sam is ok and they need to find some more receivers or some stick-em

Just heard the TV people say the x-rays were negative for nerve damage to Sam's finger(s). Hopefully he won't miss any game time.

Actually, the x-rays were negative for broken finger, but he has some numbness that Spanguolo says "could" be nerve damage... they won't know until an MRI is done tomorrow.

Whew, what a relief! As a Sooner fan living in Georgia I was afraid I might have to hunt you down and straighten your thinking out,lol

Sam needs some receivers that can keep the ball in their hands. Hopefully, all is well with his MRI tomorrow.

I think Sam coulda used a little more protection from his O Line as well.
Still, way too many dropped balls.

I thought Mike Sims-Walker would have a good fantasy year since STL receivers are the worst in the league, but he only had 1 target I saw for 5 yards

Oh, I forgot.......way too many penalties. Just sloppy play.

Yup, exactly why they missed the playoffs last year. Same story this year.

What happened to all the imprived WRs the Rams were supposed to have? Sam was a little off early but he needs passcatchers who can ACTUALLY catch.

Sam didn't have his A game, but his O line and receivers :succ: .

And what exactly is Mark Clayton's status? I haven't heard a peep about him? Is he done?

The Rams don't have a single receiver who should even be on an NFL roster. They didn't help anything with this draft. It's going to be a long miserable career in Saint Louis for Sam if they don't start getting him some weapons to work with.

Clayton is signed and on the PUP list. Six weeks and he's good to go...and lawd they need him.

I'm pretty sure Bradford could have done a better job with his old college receivers.

He's a marginal pro receiver coming off a major leg injury. I love Mark Clayton, but I don't think he is the answer. HE would be a good 3rd receiver for Sam, not a go to guy.

Even marginal pro receivers actually catch the ball.

The Rams received no favors from the NFL office with their schedule. They could be better than last year and start 2-6. They don't get to play their division games until later in the season but the second half of the season should be much better if they can get their healthy enough to compete.

There seemed to be an inordinate amount of major injuries in the first game of the season this year, season ending injuries and minor issues like so many players having cramping issues. I think this may be a direct result of the lack of conditioning and missing the OTA's during the lockout. The reduction in physical contact during practice probably isn't helping as well.

Really? Cuz I'm pretty sure that marginal receiver was among the league's best for receptions and ydg when he injured his leg. Not his fault that he was stuck with "lock on Flacco"...
