How do we get rid of this guy????

He reminds me of Edward Norton playing Brian in 'The Score.' Did Lou really think he could get the scepter by De Niro??

Its absolutely painful in every way to have to listen to him talk.. and what do they have him on to do? give long winded speeches..

I don't understand how someone who has left every university he has ever coached at in years of probation from NCAA violations can be put on such a pedestal.

Leave some fried bacon out in the middle of the street. That just might do it.

Use those doggie Beggin' strips instead since he probably won't even notice the difference. It would be a crime to actually ruin good bacon that way.

Change the channel or put it on mute? That is how I watch games on ESPN the majority of the time, muted. I rarely watch ESPN unless there is a game on anymore.

I do that with "Dr. Lou" and with "Dickie V."
I can't help it if I go upstairs to put something away and hear something, or someone who just stumbled off of Campus Corner!! Sometimes I forget to turn off the TV.
Give me me a bottle of Jim Beam and nothing to eat for 3 days and I might talk and think like him.

I would think that someone who probably makes as much $$$$ as Lou Holtz makes could afford some dentures that fit correctly.

It's painful to listen to them rattle around in his head.

I also find it comedic when he tries to pronounce words starting with the letter 'S'.

Lou transitioned from tragedy to farce long ago. Let him eat his chicken noodle soup with his fingers in peace, folks, and know that you are lucky to be viewing an historical event. No one will ever exceed Lou in pathetic inanity. You are witness to something you will be able to tell future generations about.

I don't know how to link it, but one of the itunes podcasts I listen to regularly is from WJOX radio in Alabama. I listen because they have a lot of college football. One of my favorite skits, which is weekly, is a hilarious impression of Dr. Lou. It has the obvious lisping and mispronounciations and tons of jokes about how old the former coach is. Tears him up pretty good. I highly recommend it for all you haters.

He may be senile now, and you have to go back a ways to actually remember it, but Lou at one time had OU's number. When he was the head coach at Arkansas (after an unsuccessful stint coaching the NY Jets) his hogs whipped heavy favorite Oklahoma like a red-headed stepchild 31-6 in the '77 Orange Bowl and he almost pulled off another upset coaching double-digit underdog Minnesota in '85 (OU won 13-7 and remember, this was a National Champion Sooner team). Don't think his presence had something to do with it? The next year, OU beat the gophers 63-0 but Lou had moved on to Notre Dame by then.

At least he is on the opposite quiet screen today!!! Other than myself, I know a bunch of people who have written in to ESPN.

Lou invented "coach-speak". When questioned about Notre Dame's prospects against a patsy like Army Lou would go on and on about how ND would be lucky to win. Utterly predictable answers to any question. Mack Brown is Lou's
successor in coach-speak. Can you imagine having to listen to a 75 year old Mack Brown?

I have two problems with Lou Holtz:

1. Whatever you call the noise that comes out his mouth.
2. All he is is a homer to ND, Arkansas, or SC.

Best Game of the Week: ND vs. (Insert team name here)

Best Player of the Day: (Insert player from a team that I coached at.)

There is no way he should get paid to talk.

Lou should team up with Bob Barry as color analysts and do OSU games.

It is YELLOW JOURNALISM!

ESPN/ABC/Disney continue to allow this idiot to stay on. Maybe they'll help pull a few obvious obvious calls be overturned in the booth too(Ducks and OU), to spark some interest in Phil Knights' wet dream.
