Florida State plays Charleston Southern this weekend. Are they a four year college? I know they are in the FCS (Football Championship Subdivison) but really what a pansy. They only won three games last year in the FCS. Florida State should be ashamed of this schedule. Charleston Southern sound like a Southern fast food chain, would you like yams, with that cakewalk?

I'll have you know that one of those 3 wins was against the Presbyterian Blue Hose. Pretty damn impressive if you ask me.

Lived about 10 miles from this school for a year while in the Navy...

This would be like playing OBU...no joke.

Our scout team will be better preparation. Bank on it.

When I was in school in Charleston from 1978-1982, the place was called Baptist College of Charleston. They didn't even have a football program until 10 or 15 years ago.

They are a four year college. In fact, Clemson and South Carolina will play teams that are in their conference this year.

Charleston Southern (located ironically in North Charleston) changed their name and started playing football with the goal to go 1-A, two years after my youngest daughter was born 4 miles from the campus.

She's 23.

Same thing with Portland State. Hired Jerry Glanville to get them to 1-A. :D

OU played someone like that a few years back. Chattanooga maybe? Seems like they won 1 game the previous year.

We are playing Ball State, they are better but not by much. Who cares. They still have to play us and if we win, no one will care about who they played before.

Bonus points if anyone can name (without looking it up) Presbyterian's now-defunct rivalry....the rival school and the name of the game. PC just moved to D-1 a few years ago, all the teams are having a rough time with the exception of men's basketball. If you remember, they took K-State to the brink last season at the Octagon and they knocked off Princeton and Wake Forest as well. Article from ESPN here:

I remember that one. We PPV'ed it. As OU kicked of to them to start the game, the receiver was visibly shaking.

Ball State is in our division of football; they give the same number of schollies as us.

Speaking of Wofford, they are tied with Clemson at the half.
