So Nebraska's gone and we're looking at the Pac-12/14/16/infinity. All I can think about is looking at the schedule upon release in the past and seeing a trip to Lincoln on the docket in March. I guess we could still face a trip to Seattle or, even worse, Pullman in March. But I'd prefer an early springtime conference opener at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Westwood.
Now all of this aside, if the Pac-whatever is where we end up, what are everyone's thoughts? We're losing aTm, probably Tech, all of the North teams. We could end up going without UT, which for football could end up not so good, for baseball though, good riddens. We'll be looking at facing UCLA, Stanford, Cal, Oregon St. instead of UT, aTm, Baylor, Tech. Pretty even swap by my rough estimations. Tougher to travel, but sweeter destinations for us. No more driving on Friday morning/early afternoon to catch a weekend series in Waco or Austin. So for the fans, it's a tough one. For the program? I say a wash.
