I've spent a lot of time up there over the past 20 years. I'm seriously surprised they're proud enough of their state to wear unis with the Maryland flag across their shoulders and heads. Whoever designed those should either be shot in the face, or given the Nobel Peace Prize. I ain't sure which.

Maryland's state flag rules. The color gradients on the uniforms they unveiled a few weeks ago do not. Even though these uniforms go against everything I like about uniform design, Maryland's state flag overrides that. I don't necessarily think they're awesome, but I do like them. Pants could use some work.

The owner of Under Armor is a Maryland grad (Son-of-Satan Phil Knight never managed to get that pesky degree). Dammit, the Criminals just intercepted in the end zone. O'Brien could have run that play into the end zone.

As I was saying, I don't hate these new unis. As for ugliness factor, Oregon will always be numero uno in my book until proven otherwise. I'm eager to see what the home unis look like.

One of the main reasons uniforms are getting so outlandish these days is because that's what kids want to wear. Remember, most of these players are 18-22 years old.

Those unis kind of grow on you as the game goes on - like fungus. Actually, I kind of like them and I like Boise's too. UGA's unis hurt my brain. We've sold out too with the special combat unis for a single game. That's fine with me as long as we keep the traditional unis and get all that free, high-tech Nike stuff in return.

I actually think the Maryland state flag is one of the best, if not the best, in the union. However, those uniforms are disgusting. Put the flag on the side of the helmet or something, a la the Buccaneers. You don't drape it halphazardly all over the helmet and shoulder pads. Ugh.
