I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but shouldn't all of the statues be about the same size?

Wasn't this an issue with the old Vessels-statue? Owens seemed twice his size, and it made the park look odd. Or did I invent that entire scenario in my head?

That's what I was thinkin'. There shoulda been more relation to the other statues.

When I think of something having to be The Biggest or The Best I always think of that State down below the Red River and their arrogant attitudes.

I don't think it was intentional for Steve Owens to be larger than Billy Vessels. What they did was they took the old Billy statue and donated it to his hometown in Cleveland and then constructed a new, larger one to match Steve's. You're not imagining things at all.

I hate statues in general....they never look like the person AT ALL. Seriously that looks nothing like Sam, nothing. It's like Jack Buck said about Musial's statue outside of Busch Stadium.... "The statue may be bronze, but the sculptor was stoned!" lol
